Tamworth Regional Council Rebrand

Aboriginal Artwork & Corporate Branding

I was honoured to create an original artwork for the Tamworth Regional Council corporate rebrand, bringing a strong connection to Gomeroi Country and the Tamworth region into Council’s visual identity.

The artwork is inspired by the Tamworth Regional Council Local Government Area, representing the main town centres of Tamworth, Nundle, Manilla and Barraba through yellow meeting places, with surrounding smaller communities represented through green gathering circles.

Riverways flow throughout the design, connecting the communities across Country, while native animals including kangaroos and emus reflect the natural environment and the life that exists throughout the region.

The artwork was designed to tell a story of connection, community and Country, recognising the deep and ongoing relationship of Gomeroi people to the region.

Seeing the artwork become part of Council’s corporate identity has been incredibly meaningful. The design has been incorporated across a range of applications including Council uniforms, street banners, business cards and digital communications, bringing Aboriginal storytelling and representation into everyday community spaces.

This project was a significant opportunity to create artwork that represents the place I call home and to contribute to a more inclusive visual identity for the Tamworth region.
